National Ice Cream Day

Remember the saying “I scream! You scream! We all scream for ice cream!” Well, on July 19th, bring the screaming on as our nation celebrates National Ice Cream Day!

In 1984, President Ronald Regan founded National Ice Cream Day as the pinnacle celebration for July’s National Ice Cream Month.

So, grab your spoons and head out for some dairy lusciousness at some of our favorite ice cream shops that are just a quick drive from our location on Arnold Industrial Place in Concord, CA.

CREAM
Located on Salvio Street, Cream is all about handcrafted ice cream sandwiches made with fresh-baked cookies and premium ice cream! One taste will make you swoon! Look for flavors like Banana Walnut Fudge, Cup of Joe, Green Tea, Royal Caramel Swirl and We Be Jamm’n. You can choose from fresh baked cookies like Cream Fetti, Butter Sugar, Double Chocolate Chip, Snickerdoodle, Turtle, Red Velvet and White Chocolate Macadamia Nut. Don’t forget to top it off with one of their coffee drinks!

LOARD’S
If you are seeking a classic ice cream parlor with a modern vibe, Loard’s of Concord is the place to bring your ice cream spoon! RICKS (Rather Rich) ICE CREAM
The tradition continues… Ricks has a great sense of humor! At Ricks Ice Cream it can be heard that they offer 400 different flavors at any given time but are sold out of 375 of them. Some of the flavors you can find at Ricks include Blue Moon – a fruit loops tasting ice cream with super-secret natural ingredients, Computer Chip – Chocolate ice cream with chocolate chips and a hint of orange flavor, Industrial Chocolate – the ultimate chocolate ice cream loaded with chocolate chips, chocolate chip cookie dough and sweet, gooey fudge, Marshmallow Treat – an ooey gooey marshmallow ice cream with rice krispie treats and Sideways – a Cabernet flavored ice cream with chocolate chips and swirls of black raspberry marble.
